Caprinteria to Santa Barbara to Ojai

Woke up to a clear blue sky kinda of day.
Our motel has a hot tub and pool so we drank our coffee by the pool soaking up the rays. We visited with a middle aged surfer from northern California.

A short drive to Santa Barbara and we were at the city beach. It was incredible. Just like the movies.
I was most in awe over the wildflowers that grow on the beach. Beautiful flowers, nice sand and hot temperature made for a perfect day.

We walked through the "funk zone" as it is termed, for all the outdoor patios and neat little buildings which are microbreweries.
1 pm were getting hungry so we sat down at a cute outdoor pub, but the menu was bare and there was only beer, the guys beside us overheard us and suggested we try out a nearby brewhouse as it has a full menu and all types of drinks. We had delicious lunch

Back to the water to check out another beach, a harbour, a warf and parks.

Ashton had been reading our lonely planet and found a suggested stop nearby to watch the pink glow of the sunset. Just past Ojai; a majestic, serene town.
We travelled  inland through the mountains to come to a dead end. At the dead end was a meditation sanctuary with beautiful grounds. Signs posted to respect the quiet, so we did just that.. sat among the others who were perched for sunset
and it truly was beautiful! we took a million pictures and enjoyed the QUIET.

ha ha... one of my favorite pictures. he was goofing around and I happened to grab a picture

then we enjoyed our strawberries and cheese n crackers. .. nice picnic after a gorgeous sunset

a few fun pictures
